Celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 with Let’s Do Business Group: Give To Gain
Let’s Do Business Group is proud to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026 with a free, in-person event in Hastings, dedicated to business support and start-up support for women at the beginning of their entrepreneurial journey.
Taking place on Friday, 6th March 2026, this International Women’s Day event is inspired by the IWD 2026 theme “Give To Gain” – recognising the power of sharing knowledge, experience, and connections to help women gain confidence, skills, and momentum in business.
Designed for women in business, aspiring entrepreneurs, and early-stage start-ups, the event brings together practical business training and face-to-face networking, creating a supportive environment where women can learn and connect to help them grow.
The Story Behind International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day has its roots in the early 20th century, emerging from women’s movements that campaigned for equality, fair pay, and improved working conditions. First marked in 1911, the day was created to recognise women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, while also shining a light on the barriers women continue to face. Today, International Women’s Day is a global call to celebrate progress, challenge inequality, and take action to support women — values that sit at the heart of Let’s Do Business Group’s commitment to empowering women in business.
Morning Learning Session: In-Person Start-Up Support for Women
The morning learning session provides free, in-person business and start-up support and is open exclusively to those who identify as female and are either planning to start a business or have been trading for under three years. There are no restrictions on location, welcoming women from across the county and beyond.
The session includes expert-led training covering essential topics for new and growing businesses:
Business Planning & Finance, delivered by Lisa Young from Let’s Do Business Group, offering practical guidance on building strong business foundations, managing finances, and planning for sustainable growth.
Marketing & Social Media Tips, led by Kerry Madge from Let’s Do Marketing, sharing accessible marketing support, social media guidance, and visibility strategies tailored to start-ups and small businesses.
Together, these sessions deliver hands-on business support for women, ensuring attendees leave with actionable insights they can apply immediately.
“These sessions will provide a snapshot of what female entrepreneurs need to understand when starting a new business. Attendees will take away important information on what to include in their business plan, how to put a cash flow forecast together, and why this is a vital document for business owners.”
Afternoon Networking Lunch: Building Connections That Help Businesses Grow
The afternoon in-person networking lunch, delivered in collaboration with Freedom Works, creates space for meaningful conversations and relationship-building.
This relaxed networking environment allows attendees to:
Meet and connect with other women starting or growing a business
Share experiences, ideas, and challenges
Build supportive relationships that last beyond the event
Strong networks are a vital part of start-up support, and this session embodies the Give To Gain ethos — by offering encouragement and insight, women gain valuable connections and opportunities.
