This September, Let’s Do Business Group proudly delivered another successful Start Up September campaign, supporting new and small businesses across the south and East of England. A record month in delivering over £722,000 in Start Up Loans and supporting over 200 new businesses in their ambitions, September 2025 saw another successful Start Up September from Let’s Do Business Group.
Designed to inspire, inform, and empower aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs across the South and East of England, the Start Up September campaign brought together free resources, expert-led advice, and engaging events to help people take their next steps in business with confidence.
A record breaking month of Start Up Loans - £722,900 in funding to help new businesses get off the ground!
During the month of September, our team at Let’s Do Business Finance approved 59 loans with a total value of £722,900 – that's 59 new businesses given the power to start and grow their new businesses, and £722,900 into our communities to fuel local economic growth, create new jobs, and support aspiring business owners in their ambitions.
Training for over 120 businesses
Our programme of free events and workshops throughout September was met with great enthusiasm. From online webinars to in-person sessions in Hastings and Maidstone, over 120 business owners gained valuable knowledge, skills, and connections to support them in their growth.
We supported over 20 new businesses through expert consultations
As part of our free expert advice sessions offered through the Start Up September campaign, our teams across the South and East of England worked directly with 20 new and growing businesses. Across the month, entrepreneurs received tailored guidance on:
Start Up finance, including advice on how to apply for the Start Up Loan programme
Business planning
Business strategy
Marketing strategy
Search engine optimisation
Content creation
Social media growth
These free one-to-one consultations gave founders practical, actionable advice to help them shape their plans and accelerate their progress.
Free tools and resources
To make sure every business could get off to the best start, we also provided free downloadable templates covering key areas of business planning, finance and marketing. We shared resources across our social media channels weekly, including free online software’s and tools that are tried and tested by our team to help new businesses power up their operations.
Going beyond September
The positive response to this year’s campaign demonstrates the appetite for accessible, high-quality business support in the UK. By combining practical resources, expert-led consultations, and inspiring events, Start Up September 2025 has helped to equip local entrepreneurs with the tools, confidence, and community to thrive – and we’re already thinking of how we can top it in 2026!
