Supporting Entrepreneurs, Creating Jobs: 4016 New Roles Created Through LDBG Business Growth Support.
Starting and running a business can be an extremely overwhelming especially without the right support. From managing finances and marketing to understanding legal requirements and attracting customers, entrepreneurs are often expected to wear multiple hats while trying to grow a successful business.
At Let’s Do Business Group, our mission is to ensure that start-ups, entrepreneurs and established businesses have access to business advice, support and training they need to succeed. For more than 30 years, we have been providing businesses with the right support at the right time, helping them to build confidence, overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth.
Through a range of workshops, one-to-one business support and tailored programmes, we help business owners to build confidence, overcome challenges and make informed decisions that support long term growth.
Working alongside local authorities across the South East and East of England, we've delivered programmes that equip businesses with the skills and knowledge to start, grow and create opportunities within their local communities.
We recognise that every community has different needs, which is why we work with local authorities and other support organisations to deliver tailored business support to help people start, grow and strengthen their businesses.
In just the last 5 years, we have worked on a range of programmes that that have made a lasting impact in the communities they operate.
Backing Essex Business programme
Delivered in partnership with Essex County Council, the Backing Essex Business programme provided fully funded support to entrepreneurs and established businesses across Essex between July 2021 and March 2026. By providing one-to-one support business advice, practical workshops, networking opportunities and tailored guidance in areas such as business planning, finance and marketing, the programme helped businesses to overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth
Over the lifetime of the programme, 2,338 businesses received support, resulting in the creation of 1,149 new jobs and the safeguarding of a further 1,509 jobs. The success of Backing Essex Business demonstrates the long-term value of accessible business support, helping entrepreneurs build resilient businesses while contributing to economic growth across Essex.
RISE Hastings
Building on the success of the CHART programme, RISE Hastings, funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and delivered in partnership with Hastings Borough Council, continued to provide aspiring entrepreneurs and established businesses with one-to-one business advice, workshops and mentoring to help them start, grow and succeed.
Across the CHART and RISE programmes, Let’s Do Business Group supported 587 businesses, resulting in the creation of 58 new jobs and the safeguarding of a further 10 roles. By combining tailored business support with training and employment opportunities for local residents, the programmes have strengthened the local economy, built business resilience and created lasting opportunities across Hastings.
Luton Online Digital Marketing Launchpad
Delivered in partnership with Luton Council by Let’s Do Marketing, the Luton Online Digital Marketing Launchpad helped local businesses strengthen their digital skills through a programme of in-person and online workshops that covered topics such as social media marketing, email marketing and content creation alongside one-to-one mentoring.
Over the two-year programme, 220 businesses received support, 71 new jobs were created and 79 businesses adopted new digital technologies. By improving digital confidence and helping businesses reach more customers, the programme supported Luton Council's vision for a more inclusive and resilient local economy.
Her Biz
Delivered in partnership with NatWest, Her Biz is Let’s Do Business Group's dedicated programme designed to support aspiring female entrepreneurs. Through practical workshops, one-to-one coaching and peer support, the programme helps women develop the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to start and grow successful businesses.
Since launching in 2019, Her Biz has engaged 889 women, including 223 women from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, helping to break down barriers to entrepreneurship and create more inclusive opportunities for business ownership. By providing tailored support and fostering a strong network of female entrepreneurs, the programme continues to empower women while contributing to stronger, more diverse local economies.
Our Impact
Across these four programmes alone, Let’s Do Business Group has supported more than 2,800 businesses, helped to create 1,232 new jobs and safeguarded over 1,500 roles. These results demonstrate the lasting impact that our support has had in helping entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses whilst creating opportunities and driving economic growth.
